DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: consistently frowning and slouching. persistent stubble no matter how often he shaves. never looks sincerely happy. he has one notable scar above his lip, and a lichtenberg figure scar on his right arm. he twirls his hair when he gets anxious. he usually smells of wine.

Status

Nikos is formerly of Antiva City, where he lives in a kind of half-comfort. exiled from Nevarra for participation in an assassination attempt against the king, Nikos subsists on money his family sends to him. he is affiliated with the dissident Caspar Perakis and his network of rebel cells and informants, the Spider's Sons (which sounds a lot cooler in Antivan). this puts Nikos in place to intercept a lot of hot gos and interesting tidbits of information from all around Thedas.

Reputation

Nikos was 19 when he participated in a plot to assassinate the Nevarran king (who was old and basically a puppet at that point anyways ok was it really a crime). his name was highly publicized at the time of the incident, and he's technically still a wanted man in Nevarra, along with the leader of the attempt, Caspar Perakis. the Averesches fled to Antiva at the time of the incident, which is also well-known. in the past eleven years, Nikos has been on the sideline of other events, but it is Caspar who really does the revolutionary work, and encourages rebel cells all over Thedas, distributes pamphlets, hides insurgents on the run, and funds whatever he can to help. Nikos is just there in the background, boozing it up. he's sour, surly, a little holier-than-thou when it comes to ~rebellions~, and still a bit of a rich boy despite his disdain for outmoded forms of government. cute but bitter.
